Tri the Trail

For the very first time, we’re opening up our stunning coastal trail routes to runners.

We’re thrilled to bring you the news that we’re creating a brand new running event to sit alongside our triathlon on Sunday 12th July this year

For the very first time, we’re opening up our stunning coastal trail routes to runners.

There’s no bike or wetsuit needed.

Just you, a pair of trainers and a deep breath, and then some of the most captivating coastline you’ll ever set foot on unfolds in front of you step by step. a

Tri the Trail will give you the chance to choose from the twin routes available to our triathletes

So if you’ve ever wanted a taster of our stunning and savage course but aren’t quite tri-ready (or ever planning to be), this could be the race for you.

Why not Tri the Trail and run the coast with us this July?

The Olympic 11

This is an 11km rollercoaster trail route around three bays: Putsborough, Saunton and Croyde. It’s got the lot: punishing hill climbs, ear-popping descents and coastal trails you’ll never forget, all wrapped up in the finest unspoilt scenery North Devon has to offer. It’ll take your breath away – literally.

The Sprint 5

This 5k trail run is a glorious two-legged tour of Baggy Point that sees you head out from our festival village above Putsborough Sands, along the top of our stunning headland, across to a panoramic view of Croyde bay and then back on the coastal path with views all the way to the famous, golden sands of Woolacombe Beach.

Tri the Trail will kick off just after the triathlon, so you’ll be cheered all the way round by our amazing crew of volunteer marshals and cheering supporters and cross the finish line in the heart of our village, overlooking the majestic Putsborough Sands.
