Croyde Ocean Triathlon – Training with Propello 2018-05-03T04:56:48+00:00

Croyde Ocean Triathlon, in association with The Pickwell Foundation, is thrilled to have Propello on board as our coaching partner this year.

In addition to designing a bespoke 12-week training programme for the event – which you can access for free here  via the incredible Training Peaks portal using the code “peopleandplanet” – they have also put together a team of experts in their individual fields to offer coaching, advice and much more, in the build-up to July and beyond.

James, Rob and Ben are available to provide advice and coaching for all elements of triathlon, including local knowledge of the Croyde Ocean Triathlon course (check out their details below). Propello is also offering two workshop days for those looking to improve their overall swim, bike and run performance (as well as transition) – or you can arrange individual coaching and training programmes to tackle specific challenges/weaknesses in any discipline. The two workshop days will be held on:

Each workshop is priced at £15 per session per athlete – so sign up early to avoid missing out on this great offer! You can add workshops to your basket when you sign-up for the triathlon or afterwards via RaceNation.

To complete the 12-week training programme ahead of this year’s event, it will commence on Monday 16th April 2018. Before you start the training programme Propello recommend that you focus your training time on building endurance through extensive aerobic exercise in each of the three disciplines. Make sure you incorporate a few hard efforts in each session. Aim to build up to 6 hrs training a week before you start their bespoke Olympic Distance Triathlon Training Plan!
